A time management cooking sim by Gamedino, Family Restaurant will put your accuracy to the test as you cook and plate dishes in pursuit of a 5-star rating. The game puts you in the shoes of Jenny whose family business has gone from a classy 3-star establishment to a horrible 1-star dive. To do this, you must master hometown favorites and even serve your own dishes to wow your hungry customers.
In fact, the ability to create recipes is the game's most unique feature. With three ingredients of your choice, you can add something new to the menu using a name of your choice.
Instead of just requiring you to click on automated machines, the game requires you to manually assemble the ingredients on a plate. From position to the amount of sauce drizzled, you attempt to replicate everything using an image of the completed dish as a reference. This means that even if you are quick to facilitate orders, you may still stumble when it comes to plating. Of course, that's part of the fun. Its fresh take on the tired time management formula is what makes Family Restaurant a must-try for fans of the genre.
Go across the globe to impress the locals in Burger Restaurant 3. In this tricky time management title, you will get to visit Japan, China, Italy, India and even the Wild West. Don't let the title fool you. Not only will you be flipping burgers on your trusty grill, you will also be tasked to cook exotic and mouthwatering dishes to boot.
Every location in Burger Restaurant 3 features a different local delicacy. This means that unlike other games in the genre, you will need to learn new dishes on the fly as you progress through the levels. Don't worry, there's no guesswork to be done here. Everything is spelled out, step-by-step at the start of a level. However, once your restaurant is open for business, you will need to rely on your memory to create, say, Tandoori Chicken. It may sound like a lot of work, but it does make the game a bit more challenging and satisfying to play.
Take a trip to outer space in Burger Restaurant 4. As the fourth installment in the series, this game has all the best features of Burger Restaurant and a lot more. While the main objective is still to earn enough money to pass the stage, there are now upgrades to make the game a bit more relaxing. For instance, the Trash to Treasure upgrade makes it so you only lose half of what you throw out. If you're always rushing about the restaurant, the Pink Sneaker makes your character move 175% faster. And if you're having trouble cooking specials, you can always hire a sidekick to take care of them all.
The graphics have also improved since Burger Restaurant 3. Expect smoother animations and more vibrant colors. For the most part, the controls remain the same. However, if you're having trouble remembering how to cook the specials, you can now review the recipe by dragging your mouse pointer over the order icon.
Papa's Donuteria by Flipline Studios is the tenth game in the Gameria series. This time around, the story takes place in Powder Point and you can play as either Tony or Scooter, the champs of Papa's Next Chefs 2014. Of course, you can also create custom characters for both the lead chef and server positions.
As it is with other Gamerias, there is a back story to explain how Papa Louie has hired the two unwitting characters. There's an exciting new roller coaster attraction called "Sky Ninja" in the local amusement park. Working for the Donuteria gives employees a much-coveted line-jump pass which allowed them to ride the roller coaster as much as they wish. Unfortunately, as soon as Papa Louie hires Tony/Scooter, the ride breaks down and it will take a whole year to repair the damage. Donuteria opens up even before your character can complain.
Because Donuteria has you frying and topping off multiple donuts per order, this may be the most challenging Gameria yet. There are four prep stations in all: Order, Dough, Fry and Build. With 90 characters, 115 ingredients in total and an overhaul in the customization system, what more can you ask for?
Who says that only restaurant chefs have it tough? In Cinema Rush, you play as either Jake or Mary to serve impatient customers rushing to watch their favorite movie. In this time management game, the snack bar is your domain and you are expected to know the ins and outs of everything related to cinema munchies.
The story features Mary who is currently unemployed and down in the dumps. All of a sudden, she gets hit by a newspaper on the face. As luck would have it, there is an ad for a job at the local cinema and she jumps at the chance. She rushes there and gets the job immediately, being issued an ID that ranks her as a "Rookie".
Although the customers are highly impatient, this title is a bit simpler than the likes of Family Restaurant. Once you receive an order, all you'll have to do is to click on the corresponding machines and you're all set. Of course, you'll still need to be on your toes as you juggle a steady stream of customers and keep an eye on your lazy partner so you can tap on the ticket booth as needed. There are also various upgrades that help make the game more relaxing. Equipment upgrades, for instance, makes machines more efficient. Movie upgrades influence customer’s moods, making them more patient and even encouraging them to pay more for their food –it can even give the player more speed.
Papa's Freezeria is the fourth title in the Gameria series. This restaurant management game by Flipline Studios features Alberto and Penny as the default characters.
Papa Louie is hiring again and this time, it's on Calypso Island. The job promises stress-free work and the exciting task of decorating the store (although the fine print mentions that this has to be paid by the worker). Because the island only has a population of 12, your character gets the idea that there will be more time spent relaxing than actually making sundaes and they apply for the job. Papa Louie leaves them in charge of the store to go off on a new adventure and they put their feet up. Unfortunately, the S.S. Louie arrives, along with a whole slew of customers with serious sundae cravings.
The game is delightfully balanced with shorter wait times compared to other Gamerias. An upgrade allows players to make things finish faster as soon as it is prepared. There are 52 ranks with 54 characters including Papa Louie and the closers. As Papa Louie promised, players will now be able to customize the shop's lobby as well. Purchased furniture and posters may be switched around any time players want and it is now possible to replace the store's wallpaper and flooring to customize the overall look of the store.
